The Brief
Sorus wanted one system for India's growing pathology chain: patients booking a home collection from their phone, and staff, visitors and instruments managed in the same place, instead of registers, spreadsheets and chat groups.
“One platform that runs every Sorus lab.”
The idea we built it around
What stood in the way
- 01Every department ran on its own register, spreadsheet or chat group, and nothing was connected
- 02Leadership had no live view of the labs
- 03Compliance work: NABL, India's privacy law (DPDP) and statutory payroll
- 04Patients expect to book on the phone, see the rider coming and get reports fast
What We Built
One login, every department
Each platform works on its own and talks to the others: a candidate gets a visitor pass, a host approves a visitor from the HR app with a phone notification, and an issued instrument shows on the employee's HR profile.
- 01
Home-collection booking
A step-by-step booking: concern, tests, location inside a 5 km service area, slot, details, payment and confirmation, then live tracking for the patient.
- 02
People: HR and payroll
54 admin and self-service screens: onboarding, rosters, selfie and geofenced attendance, leave, PF, ESI and PT payroll, payslip PDFs, performance, hiring and exit.
- 03
Visitor and gate
17 screens for the kiosk, reception, guards and leadership: invites, QR passes, badges, check-out and equipment gate passes, with a Gujarati interface.
- 04
Assets
12 screens to register instruments, track custody, inspections, audits, calibration and contract alerts, depreciation and reports, with scanner and public QR pages.
- 05
Field and dispatch apps
A phlebotomist app with navigation and step logging, a dispatch desk and a field app for doctor visits, plus booking and revenue analytics.
- 06
Secure by default
Role-based access the owner changes live, optional two-step login, rate limits, a full audit trail, encrypted documents and data hosted in Mumbai.
